Rural communities in developing countries, especially African countries, Uganda in particular have had incidents where fire accidents occur in homes at night and leave a number of family’s property destroyed and loss of lives. Women being the care taker of homes, have fallen victims of fire accidents due to candle lighting at night.

Recently, with the help of AL-SEED ART Foundation’s partner (Let Their Be Light International), we have relieved most of the rural women of fire accident effects by providing them with solar lamps as seen in the picture, making candle lighting at night a story.
