GISRF has a Solution to Adolescent girls MHM Challenges.

Youth’s “especially adolescent girls and young women” sexual and reproductive health and rights are of great importance, which GISRF looks at as of priority in human physical and reproductive health, and wellbeing.

In order to care for youth’s “especially adolescent girls” sexual and reproductive health, we are writing a book titled Menstrual Hygiene Management in adolescent girls and young women, which will be published and distributed in learning institutions and working places freely to help girls and young women know about their biological phenomenon (MPs) which they have to experience monthly throughout their reproductive life until they reach menopause.

Also for male gender to know that adolescence girls and young women’s MPs is a natural biological trend, and a health right, “which is respected and recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO)” whose health problems – GISRF feels should not be look at in isolation under Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme

GISRF Health Department, therefore, welcomes whoever wishes to support this project (Menstrual Hygiene Management in adolescent girls and young women) as the door is open for everyone to donate

The girls in class attending a lesson on Menstrual Hygiene Management sponsored GISRF under Sexual Reproductive health Programme.

The significance of World Menstrual Hygiene Day which is celebrated on 28th May every year – worldwide, obliged the GISRF to carryout research on Menstrual Hygiene Management challenges adolescent girls and young women encounter during their Menstruation Periods, whose findings were indicative of adolescence girls and young women’s lack of basic knowledge and means to manage their MPs hygienically predisposing them to infectious diseases like STI/STDs and productive organs chronic health problems.

For this reason therefore, Global Information and Social Resource Foundation have embarked on educating Adolescent girls in schools to help them know their biological phenomenon (MHM) and how they can manage it hygienically.
